About Ryan
Ryan’s very first job when he was 16 years old was at a retirement community golf course. His role at the golf course was an extension of their customer service, but more importantly he drove the machine that picked up all of the golf balls on the driving range. At an early age Ryan became very comfortable with providing services for the retired population.
After high school Ryan quickly realized where his strengths and interests were put to best use. He has dedicated his life to working in the field of aging where he can direct his passions to helping seniors. This began with his undergraduate studies at Arizona State University and the University of Utah where he successfully completed his Graduate work in Social Work with a primary focus on gerontology. Upon graduation, Ryan pursued a professional license in social work and is currently a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
Ryan’s first job as a professional social worker was at the University of Utah College of Social Work where he was the director of a not for profit agency housed within the College of Social Work called Neighbors Helping Neighbors. This opportunity served as a perfect beginning to Ryan’s career in the field of aging. For 6 years Ryan assisted seniors in the Salt Lake City community remain at home by directing efforts to include: volunteers for yard clean up and companionship, supervise social work interns to provide in-home counseling and case management, building community partnerships as well as multiple community presentations. Ryan also played a vital role in the placement of LCSW’s in senior centers across Utah. While working with Neighbors Helping Neighbors, Ryan’s handy man skills were put to good use as he would make frequent house calls to the home-bound widows in his community.
Early in 2009, Ryan, his wife Susan and his three children decided to relocate to Phoenix Arizona to care for his grandmother and continue his passion for assisting seniors by owning and operating Always Best Care Senior Services. Always Best Care is a non-medical home health company as well as an assisted living placement agency. Always Best Care provides a variety of services to seniors in order to assist them in remaining in their own homes for as long as possible. The mission of Always Best Care is in line with what Ryan does best and serves as an extension of his humanitarian beliefs. Ryan currently owns and operates the Always Best Care Franchises in Sun City, Sun City West and Scottsdale. Always Best Care has been in existence for 15 years but is relatively new to the Phoenix Market. Additionally Ryan Serves as the Chairman of the Board for the W. D. Goodwill Family Foundation, a private foundation dedicated to keeping seniors in their homes. In the past 14 years Ryan and the Foundation have helped over 2000 seniors stay in their homes by providing them with much needed service and Hope.
